Does it take commiment to say what u want to say to urself?

I need a five minute elevated pitch on each segment of the market. Is'nt that a very concise way instead of asking me to explore industry segments from products and demos? The knowledge people gain from working with others and learning how to communicate to provide the right kind of q.
